DAVIDSON FARIAS

Davidson Farias is a Swiss-Brazilian choreographer and ballet master who began his dance training in

São Paulo in the early 2000s. His professional career began with the Companhia de Dança de São José dos Campos, followed by two years at the Cisne Negro Dance Company in Brazil.

In 2009, he joined the Tanz Luzerner Theater, where he performed in numerous original works during his seven-year tenure. He has also been a guest artist at the Konzert Theater Bern and the Zürich Opera House in Switzerland.

 

Davidson has taught extensively, choreographed, and assisted at various institutions worldwide, including Luzerner Theater, Ballet Zürich, Indiana University, Codarts, Boris Eifman Dance Academy, Tanzhaus Zürich, The Koninklijk Conservatorium Dans Den Haag, Szczecin Ballet Company, Peridance

Contemporary Dance Company, and among others.

In 2020, he furthered his education by earning a Master’s Degree in Choreography from the Zürich University of Arts. He was awarded for his "Transfigured Night" choreography at the Szczecin International Choreography Competition in Poland.

Davidson serves as a jury member and master teacher at the prestigious YAGP (Youth America Grand Prix) in Europe. He is currently a freelance choreographer based in Berlin, Germany.
