ISABELLE CIARAVOLA

Étoile Dancer of the Paris Opera Ballet

Born in Ajaccio on March 12, 1972.

  • 1985: Enters the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP).

  • 1988: Wins First Prize at the CNSMDP and joins the Paris Opera Ballet School.

  • 1990: At age 18, joins the corps de ballet of the Paris Opera Ballet.

  • 1993: Promoted to Coryphée.

  • 2000: Promoted to Sujet.

  • 2003: Promoted to Première Danseuse.

  • April 16, 2009: Following the opening performance of Onegin (Cranko), in which she performed the role of "Tatiana," she was named Étoile Dancer.

Isabelle Ciaravola gave her official farewell performance at the Paris Opera on February 28, 2014, in Onegin at the Opéra Garnier.
