MIGUEL REYES MARTINEZ

PROFESSION: PHYSICAL EDUCATION DEGREE

Started his gymnastics career at the age of 6. At 16, he was promoted to the Cuban National Pre-Team for Artistic Gymnastics, where he remained until he was 25. Afterwards, he worked as a Coach and Trainer for Gymnasts for 2 years in a practical training center until he secured a contract with the Ballet at the Alejo Carpentier Provincial Ballet School, as well as with Cuban television ballet for 15 years.

Throughout his professional career, he has trained and prepared numerous ballet dancers who are now professionals in renowned companies worldwide. Others have specialized as ballet teachers in different companies.

Currently, he works in Leiria, Portugal, as a Physical Trainer at the Annarella Sanchez International Conservatory and Ballet Academy, training dancers from the ages of 4 to 18. He also teaches virtual classes to ballet students worldwide, earning various recognitions and merits within the institution.

He has had the privilege of working with students such as António Casalinho, Margarita Fernandes, and others who are now in renowned companies, representing Portugal and the Annarella Sanchez International Conservatory. He has also had the opportunity to conduct courses on physical preparation techniques, both in-person and virtually, for teachers and students from different ballet schools.

He has 31 years of professional experience, training students from a young age until they become great professionals.
