STEPHEN  DELATTRE

Artistic director, founder and choreographer  Delattre Dance Company

Director and resident choreographer at Delattre Dance Company, one of the very few highly successful privately run and led dance institutions in Germany.

Mr. Delattre has created four full-length narrative ballets that have established him as one of the new generation of dance story-tellers and been the calling card of the companies European touring.

One of the highlights of Mr. Delattre’s career so far, is his appointment by the French government to the Chevalier de l’ordre des Arts et des Lettres. This prestigious award of distinction rightly honors his many years of contributions in the international realm of Dance as an Ambassador of his homeland, France.

Mr. Delattre has enjoyed creating works for many notable ensembles throughout the world and in his base country, Germany. Among them are National Ballet Split (Croatia), National Modern Dance Company Ankara (Turkey), Dance Company State Theater Kielce (Poland), International Dance Festival Busan (Korea), Staatsoper Ballett Hanover, Ballett des Staatstheater Mainz, Ballett des Saarländisches Staatstheater Saarbrücken, Ballet Augsburg, Tanzkompanie Staatstheater Braunschweig, Gallus Theater Frankfurt, Ballett Hagen, Ballett Koblenz (All in Germany).

Mr. Delattre has been commissioned to make Gala repertoire for star dancers around the world including principles from the Paris Opera Ballet, Stuttgart Ballet, Royal Danish Ballet, English National Ballet, Semperoper Ballett and Staatstheater Karlsruhe.
Next to professional companies, he has also taught, coached, led workshops and choreographed with prestigious dance academies such as the Elmhurst Young Ballet in Birmingham (England), National Dance Academy Beijing (China), Conservatoire National Supérieur de Danse Lyon, the Ecole Supérieure de Danse Cannes and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Danse Marseille (All France).
