TOM BOSMA
Since 1960 Tom Bosma studied under well-known pedagogues such as:

Miodrag Despotovic, Pece Atanasovski, Atanas Kolarovski (Yugoslavia),
Cyril Haralampiev, Denjo Karadenev, Petar Grigorov (Bulgaria),
Eleni Tsaouli (Greece),Theodor Vasilescu, Sever Tita, Gavril Chiur (Romania),
Tamara Tkacenko, Anatoli Borsow (Russia), Valery Magitov (Ukrain)
He attained the Netherlands dance council diploma in 1968 and got employed as a dancer from 1968 at the Yugoslav dance theatre “ORO”.
From 1970 until 1981 he was employed as a ballet-master and coach at The International Dance Theatre in Amsterdam, and at the same time working as a character-teacher at various professional dance-academies in The Netherlands such as: the dance academy Rotterdam, the Scapino dance academy in Amsterdam, and at the dance-department of The Royal Conservatoire in The Hague.
Study-trips made with Netherlands culture ministry support to:
Yugoslavia: state ballet school Belgrade, ensemble Orce Nikolov ensemble Tanec Skopje
Bulgaria: state balletschool in Sofia and state school for choreography in Plovdiv and companies like: Philip Koutev, Balkanska Mladost, Ensemble Majakovski and Trakia
Poland: state ballet schools in Warsaw and Gdansk,
Romania: state ballet school in Bucharest and companies: Doina, Rapsodia Romana, Cununa Carpatilor.
Russia: state ballet school Bolshoi school, state institute of choreography G.I.T.I.S, state school and ensemble Igor Moisseyev.
Ukraine: choreographic institute Kiev, ensemble Pavel Virski.
From 1973 - 2014 Tom Bosma worked as a character-teacher and choreographer at the dance-department of The Royal Conservatoire in The Hague.

Since September 2014 Tom Bosma has begun his freelance travels as choreographer and teacher of character - and ethnic dance.
In 2023 he Created “Hora de la Aninoasa” after a painting by Theodor Aman 1831-1891 for the students of The Royal Ballet School in London, performance:July 16th 2023 at The Royal Opera House London.
