VALENTIN STOICA

First Soloist, Ballet Masterc & Choreographer

 

Valentin Stoica graduated from the "Floria Capsali" Choreography High School in Bucharest. He joined the Romanian Opera in Bucharest since 2007 and became first Soloist.

 

In the winter of 2013, he was invited by the Croatian National Ballet to dance ballet roles during the season, such as Giselle, Coppelia on Montmarte in the choreography of Youry Vamos, Anna Karenina and Alice in the Wonderland in the choreographic vision of Ashley Page.

 

He collaborated intensely with the ballet company Europa Dance, founded in France. Here he worked and collaborated directly with famous names in the world of world dance, names such as: Jiří Kylián, Nacho Duato, Ohad Naharin, Matz Ek.

He has participated in numerous artistic organizations and forums, galas and famous festivals.

 

Valentin was invited to the International Dance Congress organized in Monaco. In 2009 he participated as a guest in the "George Enescu" Festival playing the role of Siegfried in the ballet Swan Lake by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, in 2010, he won with a contemporary dance troupe, the award for best performance and best choreography, under the signature of Andreea Tănăsescu.

 

He lived in Taiwan, where he danced in a classical and neoclassical dance troupe, playing roles as Siegfred in the ballets Swan Lake and Le Sacre du printemps. He has also been invited to work at the following universities: Taiwan National University of Arts, National Taiwanese University of Arts.

 

He is currently Ballet Master at the National Opera in Bucharest.  He has a Masters Degree in pedagogy and teaches Pas de Deux at the National Choreographic Highschool “Floria Capsali”.
